Texas man arrested outside vice president’s residence in Northwest Washington”

A man was arrested Wednesday for firearm and ammunition offenses on Naval Observatory grounds near the official residence of the Vice President of the United States.

The man was seen on Massachusetts Avenue and was detained by Secret Service officers stationed near the residence following an intelligence bulletin from Texas, the Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement.

It is not known at this time if Murray was trying to harm or come in contact with Vice President Kamala Harris or any member of her family.

Murray was charged with carrying a unsafe weapon, carrying a rifle or shotgun outside of a business, possession of unregistered ammunition and possessing a large-capacity ammunition feeding device, CNBC reports. He was later formally arrested by Washington, D.C. police.

Violent pro-Trump extremists, fueled by the idea that President Biden and Vice President Harris had stolen the election from Donald Trump, stormed the Capitol, threatening lawmakers and law enforcement.

She also said that she first heard of the plant-based taco restaurant through vegan senator, Cory Booker (D-NJ), a Tacotarian regular.

Harris has not yet moved into the residence at the Naval Observatory due to a need for repairs at the building, media outlets have reported.
