Ted Cruz Blames Biden for 'Manmade Humanitarian Disaster' at US Southern Border”

Donald Trump has used a speech at a wedding party in Florida to slam Joe Biden, bemoan immigration in the USA, and complain about the U.S. election result again.

During the portion of the press conference where Texas GOP lawmakers spoke on Biden's border bungle, the Lubbock congressman took a question aimed at his colleague Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas.

The number of immigrant families apprehended by USA agents along the southern border almost tripled in February from a month earlier to about 19,000 people.

"I just want to say, it's an honour to be here".

The Texas Republican then unloaded on the president for his border response, saying the country must "stand firm" on border policies and deportations "or we have no borders in this country". And that is a real concern for migrants' living conditions at Mexican side of the border. President Biden and his administration are responsible for the resulting crisis at the border.

Previously, Donald Trump had forced the children and their families to wait in Mexico while their claims were processed, something experts said put them at great danger. "On account of no notice-to-appear".

Arrington then tore into Biden's border response, calling it a "half-a-ed gig" by the Biden administration "at best".

"The border is wide open ... it's not secure". "At best, at best!"

"As the Biden border crisis continues to worsen by the day, President Biden and his Administration refuse to accept responsibility for the growing humanitarian and security crisis", Reps.

Data from US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) shows 9,457 unaccompanied migrant children were apprehended at the southern border in February, which is a substantial increase from the 5,858 unaccompanied migrant children apprehended in January.

Last week, a group of GOP senators took a trip to the border to see the crisis firsthand and published photos of what they saw.

But because of a COVID-19 policy, most are returned to Mexico.

In the NPR report, Wolf told NPR, "There is no outcome anymore", since the Biden administration has dismantled a system that worked under Trump.
