Three killed in Kenosha shooting

Three killed in Kenosha shooting”

Three people were killed and two others were injured early Sunday morning from a shooting in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The suspected shooter was not immediately captured.

Gunfire broke out both inside and outside the The Somers House tavern around 12:40 a.m. Sunday, Sheriff David G. Beth said.

Officials are still working to determine the identities of the people who died.

Kenosha County Sergeant David Wright said the shooting appeared to be a "targeted and isolated incident".

"We don't believe this was a random act", Beth said.

He said detectives are combing through surveillance video and interviewing witnesses in an attempt to identify the suspect or suspects.

The shooting investigation is active and ongoing and anybody with any information is asked to contact the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.

Beth left open the possibility that there was more than one suspect.

Sheriff Beth noted that he believes there were multiple handguns used in the shooting.

Reports said police responded to the scene early Sunday morning, saying the wounded were taken to nearby hospitals in "serious condition".

The United States has suffered at least 47 mass shootings since March 16, when eight people were killed at three Atlanta-area spas, according to CNN reporting and an analysis of data from the Gun Violence Archive (GVA), local media, and police reports.
