Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcome baby girl

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcome baby girl”

A spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan said Sunday the couple welcomed their child Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor at 11:40 a.m.

The report said, Harry, who is sixth-in-line to the British throne, is now below Prince Edward and his wife Sophie.

Lili joins big brother Archie, who turned 2 in May. We've got you covered below!

The reason why Archie doesn't have a title isn't wholly clear, with Meghan telling Oprah Winfrey in March that her son was denied the title of "prince" by the Palace, a move that she says goes against royal protocol.

The second baby for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex is officially here: Meghan gave birth to a healthy girl on Friday.

The longer and more complicated answer is, maybe - in the future. Harry and Meghan's decision to name their daughter after the 95-year-old monarch came less than two months after the death of her husband Prince Philip, the royal family's patriarchal figure.

"Lilibet" is the Queen's childhood nickname, which has stuck ever since. More than the "prince" title, she said she was most concerned about her son's safety and protection.

The first seven places remain unchanged: Prince Charles; Prince William; his son Prince George, his siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis; Prince Harry, and his son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Well, the couple explained in their official statement to Access Hollywood that it's the personal nickname of Queen Elizabeth II, but the truth is royal-watchers should know that close members of the royal family have been calling Queen Elizabeth that for years!

In that case, Archie will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Archie and his sister will be a princess. The couple described painful discussions about the colour of their first child's skin, losing royal protection and the intense pressures that led Meghan to contemplate suicide.

Just because the Sussex's children are entitled to royal titles doesn't mean they'll receive them.

The interview threw the family into crisis, deepening a rift between Harry and William, and with his father, heir-to-the throne Prince Charles.

"Prince Charles has wanted for a very long time to cut the monarchy down to save costs and to make people be worth the money that they get from the taxpayer", she told United Kingdom broadcaster talkRadio in April.

They stepped back from their roles as senior working royals past year, relinquishing their HRH titles, and now live in Santa Barbara, California.

The couple told Winfrey they are not planning to have more children, saying to Winfrey, "Two is it".

Never miss a thing.
