On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, will be held the Governor of New York general elections. The incumbent Governor Kathy Hochul is on the run to win a full term after she took the office from the resigned Andrew Cuomo. Even after Democrat Attorney General Letitia James decided to stand down the competition is set to be fierce. Just like Kathy Hochul is the first female Governor, Letitia would have been the first black woman taking the Gubernatorial office in history. Instead, she decided to work on her potential reelection as an Attorney General.
