Deadpool 2: Ryan Reynolds shares NEW cryptic image - Here's what it means
Ref. NG/9446On January 12, 2018, it was reported that the theatrical release of the comic book sequel Deadpool 2 had been moved up by two weeks, with a new premiere date set for May 18, 2018.
To celebrate the rescheduled release, lead actor Ryan Reynolds shared a new image from the film’s set on Twitter. The photo showed the character of Deadpool in costume with his signature swords. The weapons are known to pay homage to Golden Girls actress Bea Arthur. This reference followed a joke in the first Deadpool movie, in which the character Wade Wilson wore a shirt featuring Arthur’s face.
According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter at the time, which cited industry insiders, the decision by 20th Century Fox to adjust the release date was made to avoid having Deadpool 2 and another upcoming film, New Mutants, playing in theaters at the same time in certain worldwide markets.
The studio also released a comedic synopsis for the sequel. This description claimed that after surviving a near-fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef named Wade Wilson struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming a popular bartender while learning to cope with his lost sense of taste.
