Tennis great Serena Williams stopped for speeding in Florida

Tennis great Serena Williams was served a $281 speeding ticket for allegedly driving 21 miles per hour over the speed limit on Interstate 95 in Palm Beach County, according to media reports.

Serena Williams recently made a triumphant return to the tennis court, just three months after welcoming daughter Alexis.

According toPEOPLE, Serena and big sister Venus played a few rounds of tennis while hosting "A Family Affair, Presented by Oath", in D.C.to raise money for their Yetunde Price Resource Center in Compton, Calif.

Williams' new husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, was there cheering on his bride. Ohanian, 34, shared an Instagram photo of his wife on the court alongside the caption, "For a great cause".

The sisters also participated in a panel, hosted by ESPN's Jemele Hill, to discuss the direct impact of violence on their family. "It's been a wonderful experience to be a part of the Yetunde Price Resource Center ... Thanks to everyone who came out to support the fundraiser".

The oldest sister of Serena and Venus, Yetunde Price, was killed by a drive-by shooting on September 14, 2003, in Compton, Calif.

"Violence has affected our lives personally - we lost our sister, she was the oldest - to violence", said Serena.

"Wimbledon got me like: Easy standing drills this morning".

The citation says Williams was driving a white Mini Cooper just after 7:15 a.m. on December 2 when the trooper, using a Stalker Dual police radar, clocked her speeding.
