Rumor: Call of Duty 2018's Setting and Title Revealed

Rumor: Call of Duty 2018's Setting and Title Revealed”

According to supposed industry insider Marcus Sellars, 2018's Call of Duty will be called Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and it will be available for the Nintendo Switch. No more walking on walls like in Black Ops 3 or Advanced Warfare.

But now an analyst has provided some information in terms of what the company's next game could very well be - and it probably shouldn't be too big a surprise for Treyarch fans. And what's more, along with its traditional releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, this could mark the debut of the franchise on the Nintendo Switch.

It is undeniable that it would make a lot of sense however for Call of Duty devs to be keen to tap into the booming market the Switch has generated, and it would certainly be interesting to see how it would operate with the DLC, Rumble and Motion Controls. Sellars predicted that a remastered version of the first Dark Souls would be ported to Switch as well as the latest Nintendo Direct date.

Even though there hasn't been an announcement by Activision, it's a foregone conclusion that a new Call of Duty game developed by Treyarch will launch this coming November.

The folks over at Treyarch Studios are busy working on the next Call of Duty game. This is not a surprising move considering how well received Call of Duty: WWII has been and there was no fancy running in that game. Treyarch's Black Ops 3 was released in 2015, Infinite Warfare from Infinity Ward was released in 2016 and a year ago we went boots on the ground with Sledgehammer Games Call of Duty: WWII. For now, take Black Ops 4 with a grain of salt - but don't put it behind you too much. Something like that sounds very possible, especially with Black Ops III's success.
