LG will reportedly introduce a redesigned flagship phone in June

Reports emerged on March 21, 2018, that LG was developing a new flagship smartphone codenamed Judy, which was expected to succeed the LG G6. The reports surfaced just before the annual Mobile World Congress and the scheduled unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S9. The new LG device was planned for release following the market success of the LG V30.

The upcoming smartphone will reportedly feature a 6.1-inch HDR screen with an 18:9 Full Vision display and support for HDR10 technology. To reduce energy consumption, the phone is expected to employ MLCD+ display technology. This allows the screen to achieve a high brightness of 800 nits while consuming 35 percent less power than a standard IPS LCD panel.

According to reports from the time, the device will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. It is expected to include 64GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM, wireless charging, and stereo “boombox” speakers. The phone is also expected to offer resistance to water, dust, and impact.

For photography, the handset is rumored to feature dual cameras with 16-megapixel sensors, glass optical elements, and f/1.6 lenses. Further details regarding the official launch date or retail pricing of the smartphone remained unconfirmed.
